Say it with us: When we say Anti-Capitalist, we mean “working to abolish exploitation & extraction.” I am still learning all that it means to be Anti-Capitalist.

I did not come to this position by reading Marx or having any interest in socialism. I came to this position from watching my father struggle all throughout his life from extreme poverty in his childhood to double shifts at the grocery store to handling toxic chemicals while a public school groundskeeper to his death from mantle cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma on December 26, 2020. The exploitation of labor and the extraction of wealth for the Monied Class is what caused both my father’s poverty and his death. That’s all I need to know to understand that the system organizing labor, money, and land (aka capitalism) has to go. This system is not working for the majority of us, and it’s time for something new.
