I'm back with another Jason Reads. This time, I am reading Zapatista Stories for Dreaming An-Other World by Subcomandante Marcos. It was published in 2022. The story I selected is "The Story of the Little Mouse and the Little Cat." It made me giggle and go, "Damn," all at the same time. I love it. Plus, who can argue with the outcome? (And I have multiple cats.)
This is all part of a weekly series where I read segments from other people's words or works, and share on this blog and on social media. It's all part of my praxis for 2026 because the times call for Us All to try and make meaning of this mess so we don't repeat what's already not working for Us All.
And please join me for THURSDAYS Are for Queers & Comrades at 465 Collective. It's EVERY THURSDAY. Doors Open at 5:30pm, and we start with the setting of space. Then, we have Queer Art Club in the back gallery all night with a range of art projects and supplies. At 7pm, we start casually gathering in the front Lounge for a casual weekly club. The event ends at 9pm.
This week (Thursday, February 26, 2026) we have Q&C Archive Club.
