I'm back with another Jason Reads. This time, I am reading Elite Capture by Olúfémì O. Táíwò. It was published in 2022. I am reading portions from the chapter "Being in the Room". These selections are about deference politics and standpoint epistemology.
This is all part of a weekly series where I read segments from other people's words or works, and share on this blog and on social media. It's all part of my praxis for 2026 because the times call for Us All to try and make meaning of this mess so we don't repeat what's already not working for Us All.
And please join me for THURSDAYS Are for Queers & Comrades at 465 Collective. It's EVERY THURSDAY. Doors Open at 5:30pm, and we start with the setting of space. Then, we have Queer Art Club in the back gallery all night with a range of art projects and supplies. At 7pm, we start casually gathering in the front Lounge for a casual weekly club. The event ends at 9pm.
This week (Thursday, February 12, 2026) we have Q&C Reading Club co-hosted with Crystal Mason of Tree of Change.
