White Supremacy Is Killing Us - Pullover Hoodie

I came out while in seminary to be a priest at the age of 18 in Minnesota, and it was a straight Black man and a (then straight, now queer) Mexican woman who had my back and helped me survive. Since then, my queerness has been rooted in fighting for racial justice.

Over the last 30 years, I’ve co-created in solidarity with Black, Indigenous, Latinx, South Asian, Chinese, Japanese, Filpinx, immigrant, poor, disabled, young, old, rural, and Southern comrades, artists, and neighbors. The thing that has guided me the most throughout this work is constantly assessing how, where, and when Whiteness asserts itself consciously, unconsciously, and systemically so that I can disrupt, dismantle, and ultimately abolish it altogether.

White is a system of racial and social control whose goal is best defined as the complete domination and subjugation of anything not-White. Who / what is defined as White is politically and economically controlled by the Ruling / Monied Class (aka Supreme) as anyone that is not-Supreme. Therefore, White Supremacy is the political and economic enactment of a White Dominant System seeking to eradicate anything not-White and not-Supreme, which in the end is the total eradication of all life on earth. Or in other words, “White Supremacy Is Killing Us.”
