His name is Banko Brown, and he's a Black trans San Franciscan born and raised in the Mission and Fillmore neighborhoods, who was shot and killed by an armed security guard at Walgreens on Market and 4th Streets on Thursday, April 27, 2023. On Monday, May 1, 2023, his family and comrades called for a rally and memorial outside the Walgreens.

This is my letter to him and what I commit to in honor of his life.
